What is For the Record: The 80s?

Many fans of For the Record: The 70s have asked for a similar podcast on the Eighties. I gave this request a great deal of consideration. The Eighties is a very different era: It is different socially, politically, and musically. The more I thought about it, though, the more I realized that a focus on the Eighties could provide the opportunity to both continue some of the stories that began in the Seventies, as well as tell some of the stories that are unique to the decade that followed.

So, here it is! These will be occasional episodes that I have likened to “ABC After School Specials” in that they will show up from time to time and teach us something and entertain us. They will (for now) not be in the regular monthly rotation with FTR70. It IS a separate podcast, though, so it will require you to find it in your podcast app or, hey, since you’re here, go ahead and give it a listen right now!

ENJOY!
